On Sunday 3rd of May we were off to Kings Canyon.
The weather was beautiful, unlike it was for us two years ago, and again I had
some unfinished business here as I hurt my back last time and so did not get to
do the rim walk. But with beautiful weather and feeling fit there was not
stopping us this time.
But first a swim. After setting up we were ready for one.
That evening the sunset on the ranges was beautiful. That
night after dinner we went to the resort hotel and listened to country singer,
Rod Dowsett. He was awesome.
Next morning we did the rim walk. There are 550 steps
straight up to start the walk. I’ll let the pictures tell the story. It was a
pretty tiring walk.
There are a few dingos that live near the caravan park and they
howl most of the night. One was very bold and came into the park during the
afternoon and found some scraps of food left behind. That was unfortunate
because that does the dingos no favours. It really is best not to feed them.
