On Saturday the 30th of January we left Coffin
Bay and firstly headed for Farm Beach which we had been given a tip about. It
was only about 40km north and whilst it was a nice enough beach it was still
the bay style of beach we had spent a lot of time at on this trip. There was
nothing else really going for it apart from a cheap camp so we moved on.
I had been given a tip about a good free camp at Point
Drummond near Mount Hope. Looked it up on Wikicamps and it had good comments.
When we arrived we were blown away by how amazing it was. We had panoramic
views all around from steep cliffs looking out to the Great Australian Bight. There
is no point describing further when I have photos that will do better.
We went fishing and only caught two undersize salmon. The
water was crystal clear and the sand so white and it was a beautiful day. It
was a pity to not catch fish but I was blown away by the paradise we were
fishing in to bother whinging.
We stayed two nights and then headed for Elliston. Just
around a couple of bends was a view to Elliston. It was a stunning view.
