Jurien Bay & The Pinnacles

On Sunday the 11th October we left Elendale Pool and had planned on staying at the free camp in Dongara but got there and found millions of bugs jumping on us at the campsites. Probably just a seasonal thing but we could not stay there. We tried unsuccessfully to find another suitable free camp. So we went on to Jurien Bay. It had a pretty beach.

Next morning we hitched up and went to the Pinnacles which is just south of Cervantes. We did the drive around which meant we had to unhitch the van and leave it in the carpark which is a common thing to do there. It was quite eerie seeing these pinnacles.

The vegetation on the drive south is stunted growth and not attractive in my opinion. The coast line was interesting and had big outcrops of sand. At a lookout on the way I realised I had left my keys on the generator box on the drawbar of the van and so had lost them. We did a drive back and tried to find them but no good. The Landcruiser electronic key cost $590 to replace, ouch. First the computer and now the keys.
