Tom Price & Free Camp En-route to Exmouth

We had left Karijini National Park on Wednesday the 9th September and gone to Tom Price. That afternoon we did Hammersley Gorge which is all in the previous post. The next day we did the Tom Price mine tour. Unfortunately we could not see into the pit because of temporary restrictions. We were charged a reduced rate of $20 rather than the $30. The mine is a very impressvie operation.

We had already hitched up and left the van park before doing the mine tour so after the tour we had lunch and headed for a free camp, the first one after Paraburdoo. We were surrounded by beautiful gum trees but we weren’t to close to them. It was by the Beasley River which was dry at the time.
