On Saturday 25th we met some great people, Jude
and Greg, at the Christmas In July party at the caravan park. They are a lot of
fun and on meeting them they offered to pick us up from where we are storing
our van for the upcoming visit back home for three weeks, drop us at the
airport and pick us up on our return and take us back out to the storage place.
So cool.
We went to the beach for sunset again, as you do there, and
this time got some silhouetted camel shots.
We visited the Sun Picture Theatre. It is an open air
theatre and has been there since Broome started. We’ll try and get there to see
a film.
We checked out the museum which was good and the town beach which looks out to Roebuck Bay. Very nice.
We also checked out the pearl lugger display.
After the Gibb River Road and Cape Leveque Road the Cruiser
was filthy so it was good to finally give it a good wash. I also gave the van a
wash and a protective coat. Broome has been good for getting a bit of cleaning
and maintenance done including getting a portable TV antennae to give us much
better reception that we were getting.
Time had arrived for our trip to Sydney so we took the van
and cruiser and put them in storage and were picked up by Greg and Jude. After
coffee we went to the airport and have flown to Sydney. So far we have been to
Rhiannon’s wedding, got Linda’s crown done, got other medical stuff done,
got Linda's car serviced, got our tax done, caught up with our girls and son-n-law and mum, James and Kristy and the kids, and some friends, more family and friends to see. I’m
working on getting our sewer connection organized and am working on a project
to be able to get our van stored on our land. Certainly not wasting any time.
